Remote Scopist - Windows 7 or Vista Install - 64bit
To install Remote Scopist 8.8 on a 64bit Windows 7 or Vista system please follow these steps.

First:
  1. Go to your Start button
  2. Choose Control Panel
  3. On the Search line at the top right type: UAC and search
  4. There should be an option "Turn User Account Control on or off"
  5. Turn UAC off (for Windows 7 - move slider to bottom)
*You will need to leave UAC turned off for the software to run properly. Now you can double click on the Setup file and install normally.

Second:
  1. Download Remote Scopist 8.8
Third:
  1. Now double click on the Remote Scopist Setup file to install
  2. After installation open Remote Scopist
  3. You should be asked to register:
  4. Make sure the system is connected to the internet
  5. Use the Product Code you were given to register
*Note: If you receive a message that you are running the wrong version of Windows, please continue on through the registration process.

**You will need to be connected to the internet to register.

Fourth:
  1. Download VLC 1.0
  2. Click the Next button
  3. Click the "I Agree" button
  4. Click the Next button
  5. Click the Install button
  6. Click the Finish button
  7. Uncheck the Activate the updates check box
  8. Click OK
  9. Close the VLC player
  10. Reboot the computer
